Jemez Valley Public Schools (JVPS) is dedicated to respecting its cultural diversity, to the academic and social achievement of its multi-cultural student population, and to promoting and strengthening a deeper awareness and appreciation of a more academic, ethical, technological, and global society, as well as to providing the very best educational opportunities possible for all students.

Our philosophy is guided by a strong belief in the promise of young people to shape a better world. It is based on a vibrant educational community that not only offers the core academic subjects, but also teaches young people to think critically, and to approach learning with curiosity and resourcefulness so that when they graduate, students are well prepared for a life of challenge and purpose.

JVPS recognizes the positive impact of technology on learning and the vast potential of using a technology-based educational delivery system. JVPS is committed to providing equal access of technology to all students while providing a sound basis for using technology in the vocational or collegiate world that awaits them. At the same time, we are striving to provide our teachers with the most up-to-date educational technology Long-Range Technology Plan

training, support and equipment feasible so that they may model the use of modern technology on a daily basis. Adequate access to modern technology will also facilitate administrative tasks, increase productivity and manage student data more effectively.

JVPS embraces the New Mexico's Educational Technology Plan: A Road Map to Student Success and the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. It is our desire to provide the technology-rich environment for all learners of JVPS including, students, staff, and community members.

Each school at Jemez Valley Public School has at least one computer lab and each classroom has a minimum of two computers each. The district has many technology related programs to help students suceed.
